Playoff Champions Crowned

It was a hot September 8th but the heat and sunshine was perfect weather for the Men's League final day of Playoffs.

All 12 teams took part in the last 18 holes of competition for the year and the 2007 champions were crowned.

In the "A Division" the Wedgers had a solid final day to claim the title with a comfortable 8 stroke margin of victory over the second place Fat Shafts.

In the "B Division", the Rolling Stones bested their competition and earned the title.

And in the "C Division" the top honours went to the Whizbangers.

Several individuals also walked away with awards for closest to the pins and cleaners while many more won draw prizes and dues payed for next season.

One special presentation was made to Dan Jess who earned the "Shank Award" after sending a tee shot into the parking lot the previous Wednesday and embedding his ball into the side mirror of a fellow golfers truck.

A delicious steak meal followed the awards and many more took part in the putting competitions late into the evening.

Special thanks to Steve Powell who worked so hard to make the days events run so smoothly and took care of every last detail. Also thanks to the staff and volunteers who assisted during the day.

Congratulations to all of the winners and to all league members, have a safe winter and we'll see you in the Spring.
