Scores Must Be Entered After Matches

Just a reminder to everyone that someone from either team in each match for the night must record the scores on the official league points sheet.

You must enter the scores for the players counting and tally the totals to determine the points for the match. It is not up to Steve Powell, Alida or anyone else to do this for you. We had a problem with this happening just this past week where neither team had anyone enter the scores. If you don't know how to do it, please ask someone for help. It isn't hard to do and only requires simple math.

Thanks for your cooperation with this matter guys. See you Wednesday night.

Stones Move Into First

The scores were a bit higher overall tonight however that didn't stop the Rolling Stones from taking advantage of their head to head match up against the Southpaws. The Stones moved into the first place all alone as they swept the match. This should be an interesting battle to watch all season.

The rest of the teams near the top of the standings continue to put up good scores and grab points making for a very tight leader board at this point in the season.
Dave Wharry tees off on Hole 12.
Just six points separate seventh spot from the second place spot.

In the matches for the evening, every group was all or nothing as the Dubbers, Fat Shafts, KGB, Rolling Stones, Wedgers, Bogies and Fivesome took six points. The low team gross for the evening was turned in by the Dubbers and KGB who each shot 94. Three players shot under 30 this week as Jerry Powell, Steve Guindon and Mark Lafee each posted a 29.

The Closest to the Pin winners this week were Mike Morey on hole #6 and Mark Kennedy on hole #15. The 50/50 winner was Dave Wharry.

Everyone's On The Board

What a difference a week makes.

The Southpaws who had yet to give up a single point this season finally cracked as the KGB were up to the challenge grabbing four points from the lefties.
Art Mansfield reacts to just missing his putt.
At the same time, the previously pointless Hackers changed that this week as well by turning in an impressive round.

Only three teams this week swept all the points in their matches as the Hackers, Fivesome and Fat Shafts earned six points each. The KGB, Rolling Stones and Whizbangers each earned four points while the Southpaws and Dubbers took two points each. The low team gross for the night was 92, shot by the Rolling Stones. Paul Dicrescenzo and Al Wilkinson turned in the lowest rounds of the night as they both shot one over par 28.

The Closest to the Pin winners this week were Jerry Powell on hole #5 and Andy Koetstra on hole #14. The 50/50 winner was Art Mansfield.

Southpaws Remain Perfect

Four weeks into another season and the Southpaws remain the only team without a blemish to their record for the fourth straight week they took all six points in their match and have yet to give up a point to their opponents. The Rolling Stones are nearly perfect having lost only two points so far this season. On the opposite end of the standings, the Hackers are the lone team yet to register a point but there's lots of opportunity to change that yet to come.

It was a cool and breezy night which might have had some impact on the scores being a bit higher than normal for some but Tim Donaldson and Al Wilkinson still managed to turn in impressive rounds with each of them shooting a one over par 28. The low team gross for the night was the Southpaws with a 90.

It was another night of all or nothing for the matches as the Southpaws, Dubbers, Rolling Stones, Wedgers and Bogies all took six points. The CCCP grabbed four points while the Fivesome nabbed two.

The Closest to the Pin winners on the evening were Peter Hughes on hole #4 and Coady MacGillivary on hole #13. The 50/50 winner this week was Randy Conley.

Par Round for Koetstra

Andy Koetstra shot the low round of the night with an even par 27 to help lead his Fat Shafts team to one of their more impressive nights in some time.
Lyle Williams tees off on hole #4.
The Fat Shafts also produced the low Team Gross for the evening by turning in an 88. That was still three shots off Southpaws low round of the year as they hold the lead with an 85.

Lyle Williams came within inches of a hole in one on hole #3 but that was good enough to earn him the Closest to the Pin on the front nine. Marty MacDonald tucked it closest on the back nine with a good shot on hole #12. The 50/50 was won this week by Bill Clapp.

It was another feast or famine night in the matches. The Fat Shafts, Southpaws, Fivesome, Dubbers and Whizbangers all took six points. The earned four points while the Bogies took two.

Defosse Off To Good Start

After some miserable weather to start the season last week, we were all much happier to see an exact opposite this week with sunshine, warmth and calm conditions.
Dave Walker tees off on the ninth hole.
Hopefully it helped to give everyone better results in their game.

Kim Defosse has his swing down when it counts to start the season. For the second week in a row he took home a Closest to the Pin prize as he stuck his tee shot tight on hole #2. Jim Turner was tops on the back nine taking the honours on hole #11. For the second week in a row the 50/50 prize went to a member of the Fat Shafts as Lyle Williams had his name drawn tonight.

It was almost an all or nothing night for points as five of the six matches were swept.
Art Mansfield miss his putt left on hole #4.
The Wedgers, Southpaws, Latecomers, Rolling Stones and Whizbangers all took six points. The KGB earned four while the Dubbers grabbed two points.

There were no changes in the lead for Individual and Team Low Gross spots however Nick VanGeveren, Tim Donaldson and Kyle Wilkinson all turned in impressive rounds of 29 each.
